India to Host EV Asia Expo 2024: A Transformative Step in Clean transport sector

New Delhi, India, 08:11:2023; India has set its sights on becoming a trailblazer in the clean energy & clean transportation revolution, and the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) is at the forefront of this remarkable journey. In a groundbreaking collaboration, IESA has partnered with esteemed organisations such as Messe Muenchen India (MMI), Solar Promotion International (SPI), and Freiburg Management and Marketing International to orchestrate a momentous event – the EV Asia Expo 2024. Earlier this year, IESA launched the India Electric Mobility Council (IEMC), a platform with a comprehensive, technology-agnostic approach catering to the entire EV ecosystem. This includes 65+ EV OEMs, EV components providers, charging infrastructure, and battery swapping companies.

The inaugural edition of EV Asia Expo is poised to redefine the landscape of clean mobility. With more than 150 exhibitors expected from across the globe and over 10,000 trade visitors, this event will span across a vast 8,000+ sq mts of exhibition space. It’s not just an Expo; it’s a testament to India’s commitment to clean energy and its burgeoning role in the global clean mobility revolution.

Under this visionary partnership, both IESA and MMI will curate specialised conferences tailored for the electric mobility sectors. This signifies their dedication to fostering knowledge exchange and innovation in these critical domains.

IESA, founded by Customized Energy Solutions (CES) in 2012, boasts a formidable network of more than 180 member companies spanning a wide spectrum of industry verticals. From energy storage and EV manufacturing to EV charging infrastructure, green hydrogen, microgrids, power electronics, renewable energy, research institutions, universities, and cleantech startups – IESA brings together the best minds in the clean energy sphere.

Dr. Rahul Walawalkar, Founder & President, India Energy Storage Alliance and Customized Energy Solutions (CES), says, “The clean transportation movement is gaining momentum today, and India will be one of the world’s largest markets for clean mobility technologies including battery manufacturing, EV manufacturing, EV components development, indigenous R&D and electric vehicles. We are happy to join forces with MMI to represent this emerging industry.”

Bhupinder Singh, CEO of Messe Muenchen India, says, “The partnership’s significance is that it establishes a specialized platform for electric vehicles (EVs) in India. By leveraging IESA’s extensive network of companies and institutions in EV and batteries, this collaboration aims to attract global EV-focused exhibitors and visitors. This will bring German expertise and fill a void in the Indian EV industry’s international trade fair scene. Our joint plan includes hosting conferences on electric mobility market opportunities, aligning with India’s goal of achieving Net Zero by 2070. Together, we are determined to bolster the industry’s power and potential.”

Messe München GmbH, with its extensive global network and nearly 40 of its own trade shows for capital goods, consumer goods, and new technologies, has been a stalwart in organising trade fairs since 1964. With the global presence of MMI and the expertise they bring to the table, EV Asia Expo 2024 promises to be a transformative event that will catalyse India’s clean energy journey and set new standards in the global clean mobility landscape.

Scheduled for February 21-23, 2024, at the state-of-the-art Helipad Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, this Expo is a significant milestone in India’s commitment to sustainable energy. Accompanied by a dynamic conference at the luxurious Hotel Leela, Gandhinagar, from February 20-23, 2024, it’s a testament to India’s determination to lead the global clean mobility revolution.
