RERA & NAREDCO started management development program for real estate developers in Delhi

New Delhi: Real Estate Regulatory Authority and National Institute of Real Estate Development’s (NIRED) started much-needed Management Development Program. The chief guest Mr. Anand Kumar, Chairman of Delhi RERA, the guest of honor Mr. Ajay Kuhar (Member, RERA), along with Mr. Alok Gupta (DG, NAREDCO), Dr. Ananta Singh Raghuvanshi (Course Director), Ms. Preeti Singh (Additional Director General, NAREDCO) did the lamp lighting.

“The sector is evolving with even real estate consumers being well-versed with the global trends and business ethics; the time is ripe for Indian real estate to go through the apt change to ensure the development of a healthy and robust real estate environment. The program is an attempt to ensure that every person involved in the sector should have formal education rather than depending only on the learning while on the job,” said Mr. Anand Kumar, Chairman of Delhi RERA.

Christened ‘RERA & Real Estate Business Essentials’, the program aims to provide international-class knowledge and learning to the participants allowing them to update their competitiveness to perform effectively. Curated by RICS in consultation with RERA Delhi and NAREDCO, the program will give a well-rounded perspective of the real estate business.

The program is for people engaged in the real estate business, residential sales, and employees of real estate developers and broker firms. Maintaining that RERA has brought customer trust and that the program will add value to the market, Mr. Rajan Bandelkar, President of NAREDCO, said, “As a responsible real estate body, we must ensure that the market has the right ambience and means to flourish. We have all seen a huge demand and supply gap, which can be narrowed down only through thorough dealings. We recommend the program to all the stakeholders giving their services to the sector who are in sync with the common aim of bettering the image of the real estate sector resulting in further business.”

Taking the opportunity to hammer in the message of professionalism, Mr. Ajay Kumar Kuhar, Member, Delhi RERA, said, “RERA has set an example of how a market can be transformed by well-aimed interventions. We have to understand the mindset of the new-age buyers, inclined towards getting help to make well-informed decisions. The program crafted with an aim of capacity building of stakeholders will ensure smooth transactions and increase in the trust factor.”

The inaugural session was attended by a mix bag of participants such as government representatives, private developers, chartered accountants, legal practitioners, and marketing & sales professionals. Course director for NIRED, Dr. Ananta Singh Raghuvanshi, MRICS, said, “Our sector is committed to revival of values and accountability, responsibility and building trust. RERA knowledge will guide us to effectively handle decisions with a focus on people, purpose, planet, and their Profile,” she said.

NIRED was launched last month by NAREDCO.  RERA Delhi has joined hands with NIRED to improve the quality and productivity of work in various industries by growing human resource capability. The institute offers a platform for everyone to enhance their knowledge and skills, making them industry-ready and contributing to the sector’s growth.
