TVS Motor Blends Art, Culture and Mobility with TVS X Showcase
Bengaluru: In a move that departs from conventional automotive showcases, TVS Motor Company hosted the TVS X Collectors’ Soirée, presenting mobility through the lens of design, culture, and craftsmanship.
At the event, the company unveiled three one-of-a-kind custom TVS X creations, developed in collaboration with designer Manoviraj Khosla. Shifting focus away from performance specifications, the showcase explored how a mobility platform can evolve into a canvas for cultural storytelling.
This initiative marks the beginning of a curated series aimed at reinterpreting India’s artistic and cultural narratives through the TVS X. Bengaluru—central to TVS Motor’s EV journey—served as a fitting launchpad, while Karnataka’s rich heritage provided the creative foundation.
Each custom TVS X draws inspiration from the state’s artistic legacy, including the architectural brilliance of Hampi, the intricate craftsmanship of Channapatna, and the regal heritage of Mysuru. These influences are reimagined through a contemporary design lens, resulting in collectible pieces that merge tradition with modern engineering.
Speaking at the event, Gaurav Gupta, President – India Two-Wheeler Business, TVS Motor Company, said, “Progress without culture is incomplete. With TVS X, we are bringing Indian art and architectural heritage into a contemporary form. Starting with Karnataka, this is the first step in a larger journey across India.”
Designer Manoviraj Khosla, who collaborated on the project and created bespoke merchandise for collectors, described the TVS X as a “moving canvas” that seamlessly blends material, form, and narrative.
The soirée also spotlighted the role of craftsmanship in modern design. Mala Dhawan, Founder of A Hundred Hands, emphasized the importance of creating visibility and fair value for artisan communities. Proceeds from the collectors’ auction were directed to the non-profit, supporting sustainable livelihoods and preserving traditional crafts.
The TVS X Collectors’ Soirée signals a broader shift for the brand—where mobility platforms are no longer just functional products, but carriers of identity, storytelling, and cultural value.
