Ferrari Unveils Amalfi Spider, a Powerful Open-Top V8 Grand Tourer
Maranello: Ferrari has unveiled the Ferrari Amalfi Spider, a new 2+ convertible grand tourer that blends high performance, elegant design and everyday usability. The latest addition to Ferrari’s lineup features a front-mid-mounted twin-turbo V8 engine and is designed to deliver an engaging open-air driving experience without compromising comfort or practicality.
Powered by a 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 from Ferrari’s acclaimed F154 engine family, the Amalfi Spider produces 640 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 760 Nm of torque, enabling the car to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 320 km/h. The engine is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, first introduced on the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, ensuring rapid and smooth gear shifts.
The convertible features a fabric soft top that can open in 13.5 seconds at speeds of up to 60 km/h. Ferrari says the lightweight roof mechanism allows the car to retain its sleek proportions while providing practicality. The boot offers 255 litres of luggage space with the roof closed and 172 litres when open, making the Amalfi Spider suitable for everyday driving and weekend getaways.
Designed by the Ferrari Design Studio under the direction of Flavio Manzoni, the Amalfi Spider retains the flowing silhouette of the coupe version while introducing unique styling details for the open-top format. The model also debuts a new exterior colour called Rosso Tramonto, inspired by the sunset hues of Italy’s Amalfi Coast.
Inside, the cabin features a dual-cockpit layout with a technology-focused driver interface. The car includes a 15.6-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, and an 8.8-inch passenger display showing performance data such as engine revs and G-forces. Ferrari has also reintroduced tactile steering-wheel controls and the iconic aluminium start button for a more engaging driver experience.
The Amalfi Spider incorporates advanced aerodynamics, including an active three-position rear wing that automatically adjusts to optimise downforce and stability. In its high-downforce configuration, the wing can generate up to 110 kg of additional load at 250 km/h.
Driving dynamics are further enhanced by Ferrari’s latest technologies, including a brake-by-wire system, ABS Evo, and the Side Slip Control 6.1 platform, which integrates multiple electronic systems to improve handling and stability across different driving conditions.
Safety and convenience features include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, traffic-sign recognition and driver-attention monitoring. Connectivity features such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the MyFerrari Connect app allow owners to monitor the vehicle remotely.
Ferrari will also offer a seven-year Genuine Maintenance programme with the Amalfi Spider, covering regular servicing to ensure long-term performance and reliability.
With its combination of powerful performance, refined design and everyday practicality, the Ferrari Amalfi Spider reinforces the brand’s tradition of producing luxurious open-top sports cars built for both thrilling drives and comfortable touring.
